Dr. Balasubramanya Kumar is a reputed maxillofacial surgeon with a experience in head and neck surgery of nearly 20 years. He has a special interest in orthognathic surgery and ablative surgical oncology. He completed his basic dentistry from Oxford Dental College, Bangalore in 1999. He then completed his masters in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgey (MDS) from Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences, Bangalore in 2003. He is now well known for his contribution to the fraternity as a national and international guest speaker in the field of Maxillofacial surgery. He has completed his International board certification and also holds a CAQ (certificate of added qualification) in Oral oncology.

Dr. Kumar is a consultant at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital and practices routine maxillofacial surgery including implants, specialized orthognathic and oral oncology surgery. He has also served as the Head of Department, Department of Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery in St. Martha’s Hospital for more than 10 years until early 2021.

Having served in various prestigious roles in the past like Hon. Editor for the state journal, Association of Oral and maxillofacial surgeons of India, Karnataka state chapter (KAOMSI), he is currently the Hon. Gen. Secretary for the state chapter. He is also a member of Karnataka State task force in management of COVID related complications.

Dr. Kumar is very meticulous in his work especially, dentofacial deformities and spends a lot of time in planning and executing the desired treatment causing a high satisfaction quotient to all of his patients.
