Dr Pritham Shetty is a surgeon with two decades of experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He obtained his degree from the prestigious SDM College, Dharwad and worked there as a consultant for four years before shifting to Bangalore in 2005.

He is also a Professor at the Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences.

Along with Dr Krishnamurthy, he worked to build the Cleft unit at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, and they have successfully operated on over 10,000 fully funded cleft cases.

The Cleft Center at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital is now a Smile Train Cleft Leadership Unit, the only such center in India. This center is equipped with modern technology to make Cleft treatment precise and evidence-based, free of cost under the Smile Train service. He has now become the project director of this center and the Cleft fellowship program.

In addition, Dr Shetty served as the Honorable General Secretary for the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, India, from 2016 to 2021—one of the highlights from his term in initiating Fellowship training opportunities for young Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is now the Honorable General Secretary of the Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies. His dynamic leadership and vision have made him a well-respected figure in the fraternity.
